New London Dental Care is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near London, CT

Job Summary:

$5,000 SIGN ON BONUS
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The Dental Assistant will work closely with the dentist and dental team to provide quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental assisting, excellent communication skills, and a strong attention to detail.

Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Perform basic laboratory duties, such as pouring models and trimming impressions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow

Skills:
- Proficient in medical documentation and record keeping
- Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental practice management software
- Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus
- Ability to perform patient assessment and take vital signs
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy protocols
- Competency in aseptic technique and infection control procedures
- Understanding of medical coding for dental procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.67 - $24.89 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
