Applications Engineer CAD / CAM

TopSolid USA, Inc., a technological leader in the world of CAD/CAM/PDM and ERP solutions reinforces its presence in North America and is currently seeking an Application Engineer for its division located in Lombard, IL. Successful candidates will increase the company’s development activities by training and supporting customers and managing product implementation with clients. The position will be based in the Chicago area and its primary duties and requirements will include the following:

• Demonstrate TopSolid software to current and prospective customers.
• Provide technical support to TopSolid users, investigating requirements and proposing solutions.
• Mentor users on best practices when using TopSolid software.
• Present TopSolid software training courses for customers.
• Test TopSolid software releases for functionality and quality.
• Provide feedback to TopSolid product management on future software functionality.
• Develop libraries of components based on market needs.

Required qualifications:
Engineering and/or Computer Science or equivalent degree, plus 3 years of related experience
Extensive hands-on CAD/CAM application use
Excellent understanding of software engineering principles and great team skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Exceptional problem solving skills
Experience in manufacturing

Software development skills are a strong plus (C#.net, VB.net…)
Desire to work with a multi-national, innovative and creative team
Willingness to travel as needed.(primarily within the United States but also with occasional trips to Europe)
Ability to present technical information to customers, engineering and management in a clear manner

Preferred qualifications:
Experience in the precision manufacturing such as production machining, job shop work, Mechanical engineering, mold and die engineering and manufacturing or any other type of precision manufacturing a big plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
