Julian Electric Inc. is a trusted Tier 1 preferred supplier of wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, industrial & automotive electromechanical assemblies. Headquartered in Lockport IL, Julian Electric is searching for a motivated individual to take on the role of Jr. Buyer.

Job Description

The Jr. Buyer works in all facets of a dedicated group of global suppliers from supplier selection to delivery. An effective Jr. buyer will find competitive prices for landed material while maintaining the highest levels of quality and service.

Responsibilities

• Manage MRP driven daily reports and react to all short and long positions on materials.
• Participate in new supplier selection.
• Establish and maintain rapport with suppliers and sales representatives with open dialogue to maximize our vendor relationships.
• Reviews open order status and provides detailed follow-up to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Support new product development with RFQ (request for quotation).
• Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual KPI’s.
• Coordinate with Logistics team to ensure timely delivery of product.
• Communicate interdepartmentally to resolve receipt discrepancies.

• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, including ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, follow-up, and attention to detail.
• Lean manufacturing strategies and best practices

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management preferred.
• Experience utilizing Epicor preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
