Responsibilities:

- Great customers in a friendly manner and ensure high quality service

- Assist customers in selecting, fitting and dispensing eyewear

- Help customers choose frames that suit their style and prescription

- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance

- Adjust frames to ensure proper fit and comfort for customers

- Process orders for eyewear and contact lenses

- Check status of orders and notify customers when orders are in or of any delays

-Ensure all web ordering done daily

- Maintain inventory of eyewear and contact lenses and replenish stock as necessary

- Ensure that the eyeglass department is kept clean and organized a all times

- Collaborate with our eye care team to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment

- Ensure all customer service complaints are handled effectively and efficiently

Skills:

-Previous experience preferred but not required.

-Ability to learn new optical and eye care knowledge

-Effective interpersonal skills

- Knowledge of optical systems and equipment

- Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes

- Strong sales and customer service skills

- Ability to work with diverse customer demographics, including pediatrics and senior care

- Proficient in using laboratory equipment for lens fabrication and repairs

- Experience in retail management, including inventory management and sales tracking

- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as Epic

As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in helping customers find the right eyewear to meet their vision needs. Your expertise in optical systems, along with your strong sales and customer service skills, will ensure that customers receive the best possible care. You will also collaborate with our eye care professionals to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment. If you are detail-oriented, have a passion for helping others, and possess the necessary skills, we invite you to join our team as an Optician.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Expected hours: No less than 36 per week
