Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing on-site maintenance and support for most basic installation and troubleshooting activities at PSAP's (Public Safety Answering Points) and other customer sites.
Responsibilities:
- Field Technician is responsible for representing NGA and the PSAP
- Communicating schedule, arrival times, task status, and follow-up actions as required
- Assisting senior NGA staff with site surveys and more complex installations and trouble shooting
- Services hardware and software system components and any necessary upgraqdes aqnd basic maintenance
- Assists senior NGA staff with equipment inventory, staging and configuration
- Logs and tracks all service order activity, maintains history records and related problem documentation.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends
- Frequent domestic travel paid for by NGA
- Possess a valid state driver's license
- Lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Climb ladders
- Work in confined spaces
- Identify wire and cable colors
- Communicate effectively with customers and technical personnel/leadership

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

- Telecommunication: 1 year (Required)

- Livingston, LA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
