Summary Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented GL accountant to perform accounting tasks in collaboration with internal departments. You will be conducting audits on the accuracy of our financial information, providing assurance that our accounting practices adhere to regulations and performing general ledger entries and account reconciliations. You will also serve as backup to AP & AR.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly journal entries such as Cash, Payroll, Benefits, Prepaid, Expense Allocations & Revenue.
• Assist with Balance Sheet preparation and Monthly Account reconciliations.
• Maintain and update Fixed Assets Balance Sheet & Depreciation.
• Review cash deposits and prepare cash receipt journal entries.
• File and maintain all journal entries for internal and audit purposes.
• Assist with the completion & distribution of monthly financials.
• Assist with all financial audits, business insurance renewals, and tax return paperwork.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Controller.

Job/Education Requirements:

• Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a similar field.
• Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to effectively complete tasks with minimal supervision
• 3 years of experience working as a GL Accountant, or a similar role in the accounting department.
• Outstanding knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to solve complex accounting problems and errors.
• Strong knowledge of financial bookkeeping procedures.
• A sharp eye for detail.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Illustrate the ability to meet deadlines.
• Team player and ability to motivate the team members.
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
