Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor in the Southern Little Rock AR area. Operating in over 30 countries worldwide, they are one of the largest suppliers to the printing and packaging industry, manufacturing printing inks and colorants

Compensation: $60,000-70,000
What You Will Do:
Reporting to the Production Manager, will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of facility production activities for assigned shift. Work closely with support personnel to include safety, maintenance, supply chain, administrative, and quality departments to ensure objectives are met. Measurable criteria will include TIR, quality of product, on-time delivery, production efficiency, and conversion cost improvement.
- Create and reinforce a safety culture in all manufacturing employees; address any production related safety audit deficiencies through implementation of appropriate procedures or maintenance solutions.
- Manage a team of technicians to achieve discretionary performance
- Communicate with Manufacturing Manager and supply chain personnel on production issues related to batch size, equipment utilization, and material sourcing
- Ensure consistent communication to all shifts and accountability for operator performance
- Coordinate required preventive maintenance activities to ensure such maintenance is performed as scheduled
- Optimize the manufacturing process by:
- Utilization of 5s principles
- Application of Lean manufacturing techniques
- Perform effective root cause analysis on all problems and implement appropriate corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences
- Operate production and direct personnel to produce efficiently and maintain high equipment utilization rates
Education and Work Experience:
- At least 4 years of US Military experience required
- 5 Years in manufacturing, or related field required.
- 3 Years in supervision of personnel preferred.
