Job Title: Accountant II FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Description Summary:
Under limited supervision, applies cash and accrual accounting principles to prepare, analyze, maintain and deliver complete and accurate financial reports for a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate properties; and complete special projects as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements: Degree from a four-year college or university program with an emphasis in accounting, finance or related field preferred or an equivalent of education and experience. A minimum of two years prior accounting, finance or related experience required. Experience with real estate accounting software (Yardi) preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
Financial Knowledge
Requires an intermediate to advanced knowledge of accounting principles to include accounting methods (cash, modified cash and accrual) and knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) and a good knowledge of various entity structures and a basic knowledge of tax concepts. May also conduct some financial analysis.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret real estate documents; i.e. management agreements, settlement statements, lease agreements. Ability to solve problems. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
Scope of Responsibility
Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
