Business Intelligence Analyst Job ResponsibilitiesBusiness Intelligence Analyst responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Stakeholder Communications & Relationship Building:
- Coordinate with business units to define reporting requirements, issues, needs, and deadlines
- Communicate reporting needs to the BI Development team
- Act as a liaison between business units, analysts, and developers
- Maintain positive relationships
- Assist business units with writing SQL queries and creating reports in Power BI
- Handle reporting needs accurately and efficiently
- Share best practices with business units and perform reporting audits
- Collect and store reporting information related to requests from business units
- Assist with the creation of training materials for business units
- Maintain internal team standards for projects and reports
- Four-year degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- At least 2 years of relevant job experience
- Experience with BI software, preferably Power BI
- Experience writing SQL
- Ability to take leadership of multiple tasks and accommodate frequent interruptions and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong desire to collaborate with internal team members and other departments throughout the company
- Experience in working with enterprise Business Intelligence teams
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and research methodologies
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Advanced proficiency with DAX
- Advanced SQL
- Familiarity with the following tools: Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.), Azure DevOps, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
- Comfortability working with large amounts of e-commerce data
- Data validation, data warehouse QA, and/or report auditing experience
- Familiarity with Kimball methodology
- Tracks project benchmarks and milestones
- Keeps relevant stakeholders up to date on project status (includes BI Analysts, BI Developers, business stakeholders)
- Ensures project requirements are thorough, accurate, and up to date
