Description

• Supervise and coordinate all receiving activities, including trucks, inspecting deliveries, and verifying quantities and specifications
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of receiving documents, such as purchase orders, packing slips, and manifests
• Oversee the proper handling and storage of received goods, including sorting, labeling, and organizing inventory within the warehouse or storage facility
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Train and mentor receiving associates on proper receiving procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation
• Resolve any discrepancies or issues with incoming shipments, working closely with internal departments for resolution.
• Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies to supervisor
• Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing, inventory control, and logistics, to ensure smooth flow of materials and information
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline receiving processes and enhance efficiency
• Maintain accurate samples and acting gatekeeper for the sample area
• Assist with inventory counts, audits, and cycle counts as required
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years related experience is required
• Ideal candidate must be proficient with MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel) and operational systems/software (i.e. WMS tools)
• Be able to multi-task and perform excellent communication, and customer service skills
• Must be able to identify problems and resolve in a timely manner; possess a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks and resources appropriately
• Promote an environment conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity, and effectiveness
• Must be dependable and have a good attendance record
• Must be available to work required overtime as schedule dictates 

• Ability to stand, stoop, lift, and perform manual dexterity
• Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation during normal business hours designated for the position
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Ability to operate related material handling and skid wrapping equipment

Training:

• 2 week minimum with Receiving Team Lead on 1st shift

• 2 to 4 weeks on the job training on 2nd shift
