Davies Career and Technical High School in Lincoln, Rhode Island is a state school that prepares students with a technical skill set and training they can carry to future careers. Over 90% of graduates leave Davies with industry certification, with students choosing from across nine different career areas: Automotive Careers, Electrical, Machine Technology, Pre-Engineering, Biomanufacturing Technology, Education and Childcare, Health Careers, Hospitality Careers, and Graphics & Interactive Media. This is a year round/12 month employee position.Davies is now hiring an IT Coordinator!Qualifications: -Knowledge of network & systems administration-Knowledge of R.I.D.E.
data collection and reporting requirements-Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in PK-12 IT Leadership and support (systems and hardware)-Bachelors degree in a technology related field-Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be appropriate and acceptable.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -Create a comprehensive Technology Plan for addressing the schools current and future technological needs and school wide IT objectives-Maintains technology equipment and systems (ex. Surveillance cameras, badge control system, Cat 6 telecommunications wiring, etc) for the purpose of ensuring that systems are functioning properly and effectively in support of district administration/educational operations-Serve as the leader of the IT committee-Develop, recommend and administer IT policies and procedures-Ensure integrity and security for the intra and internet of the school; protect system from cyber threats-Establish and evaluate performance standards for the schools IT services-Support faculty and staff in the application of instructional and operational technologies -Coordinate and deliver professional development and training-Establish device specifications for the organizations hardware for employees and students-Stay abreast of latest developments in technology that may impact educational institutions (ex. AI, cyber security, etc)-Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and consultants-Complete and submit state and federal education reports and related grants (eRate funding) in an accurate, timely and efficient manner-Support state testing and standardized efforts-Knowledge and ability to support and troubleshoot the schools web based and internal systems-Perform other job related duties as assignedSupervises: -Data Systems Manager-Jr. Information Systems AdministratorSkills & Understanding Required: -Proven leadership skills on a school-wide level-Outstanding knowledge of best practices in teaching and learning-Ability to multitask and prioritize projects and initiatives-Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse set of people-Ability to make sound decisions under pressurePhysical Demands: -The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
