Gates Shields Ferguson Swall Hammond, P.A. is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team in Liberty, MO. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, a strong work ethic, and the ability to excel in both plaintiff and defense work. With at least 2-3 years of previous experience, candidates should possess excellent analytical, research, and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance in various areas of litigation including employment law, insurance, business, and civil litigation.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
  • Assist with trial preparation and court appearances.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas.
  • 2-3 years of previous experience in litigation, preferably in both plaintiff and defense work.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
