Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Estimator/Manager to join our team.
Duties:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements. Participate in project site visits prior to bid.
- Conduct thorough analysis of project scope, materials, labor costs, and other factors to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of project requirements.
- Lead internal project hand-off to field operations post-contract award.
- Assist and support project Superintendent(s) and Foreman(s).
- Maintain project schedules, on-site meetings, and perform site visits as needed.
Education - Skills - Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree or Equivalent from Technical School in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
- Three to Five years of related experience or the equivalent combination of both education and experience.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Proficient in using Microsoft product and construction estimating software (Preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and civil plans, specifications, and other technical documents.
- Problem solving skills and the ability to adapt and find creative ways to address changing needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
