Dankel Concrete Cutting is Hiring a Shop Foreman Near Lexington, SC

Overview:

We maintain a diverse fleet of diesel, gas, hydraulic, and electric concrete cutting equipment and their transport vehicles. We work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with an ever-changing dynamic. We are seeking a self-managed person, capable of running a shop with minimal supervision and direction from upper management. The correct candidate will be comfortable making decisions and sourcing necessary supplies to complete the job at hand. This individual must be a company-minded person and understand this is a leadership role with the potential to have subordinate employees to direct. The shop is the backbone of our operation and success in the field is reliant on the efficiency and efficacy of the shop’s performance. This person must be able to uphold a certain level of accountability with our field personnel and work closely with the members of management to coordinate shop efforts to ensure tools and materials are ready and available when needed according to job schedules.

Types of Equipment:

-Core drilling machines (Hilti, Husqvarna)

-Slab saws (Husqvarna, Diamond Products)

-Various styles and types of hand-held cutting tools, electric (AC & DC)/hydraulic/gas powered

-Hydraulic power units (diesel/gas)

-Small and large electric generators (diesel/gas, 110-240V, 480V-3PH)

-Light and Medium duty trucks, dry box and open body (diesel/gas)

-Small excavators and skid steer loaders

Environment / Duties and Responsibility:

-Fast paced environment

-Adapts well to changing work flow

-Able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed

-Comfortable with travel to jobsites, local and out of town, to assist with repairs

-Report to Division Manager and coordinate shop workflow with Division and Operation Managers depending on and supporting job scheduling requirements

-Communicate with members of Corporate Fleet & Shop Management group regularly to relay needs and progress on large projects

-Responsible for creation and completion of shop work orders utilizing company software.

-Responsible for tasking and managing subordinate shop employee’s tasks/projects, timekeeping, and success.

-Complete and submit required paperwork for repair tracking and accounting

-Maintain equipment to company standards of readiness

-Maintain shop housekeeping, facility condition, and parts and supplies inventory

-Accurately tracking and report weekly time worked

Skills:

-Diagnose and repair wide variety of small/large diesel and gas engines

-Comprehension and understanding of hydraulic systems. IE: diagnose, repair, perform system checks, reading and interpretation of schematics/diagrams

-Knowledge of both AC and DC electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret applicable diagrams and make appropriate repairs

-Basic metal fabrication skills: Welding, cutting, torching

-Minor diagnostic troubleshooting and repair over the phone

-Personnel management utilizing team-building, effective communication, and continued training

-Capable of efficiently utilizing email, Microsoft M365 software suite programs, internet-based vendor portals, and computer-based data tracking systems

Qualifications:

-Minimum 5 years of Heavy-Duty/Industrial mechanic experience (or equivalent industry)

-Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

-Pass E-Verify, background check, and negative drug test results

-Pass DOT medical examination

-Must have own tools

-Experience working with concrete cutting experience preferred but not required!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
