Lexington Manor Senior Care is Hiring a CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Near Lexington, MS

To provide personal care and assistance to nursing facility residents according to the individual residents' comprehensive assessment and plan of care under the supervision of the licensed nurse on the unity and to do related work as required to maintain a safe, homelike environment and to protect and promote the rights of each resident.

Qualification Standards

  • Education: Sufficient enough to be able to understand oral and written instructions and assignments, carry out assignments, report to supervisors as required, count to take vital signs, weights, heights, and temperature.
  • Experience: Helpful, but not required.
  • License: Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program for nursing facilities within four months of hire and subsequent registry with state licensing agency.
  • Must have a pre-employment background check and an annual tuberculosis screening examination.

Performance Standards

  • Attendance: as assigned by supervisor that may include working any day of the week, any shift of the day, and any day of the year.
  • Protects and promotes residents' rights as outlined in federal and state law with residents, family, and others at all times.
  • Adheres to facility infection control standards including proper use of personal protective equipment at all times.
  • Is able to recognize abnormal changes in resident bodily functions and report accurately such changes to charge nurse.
  • Is able to follow written instructions at all times and is able to respond appropriately to oral instructions under emergency circumstances when other communication methods are not possible.
  • Demonstrates competence in the use of proper lifting and transferring techniques for residents according to each individual care plan.
  • Demonstrates competence in all areas of residents’ care for according to each individual care plan.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
