Provides leadership and coordination of assigned shift in the areas of team member safety, quality, productivity, fork truck driver re-certifications, safety and incident investigation/reporting; provides training, coaching, and mentoring of appropriate employees; has responsibility for results in, on time shipping, inventory system and administrative duties; recommends, develops and implements improvement plans. This position will support the 2nd shift (3p-11p) operations.

Essential Duties:

• Use and review shipment schedule.
• Understand current/potential expedites during shift.
• Coordinates assignments and responsibilities to the scheduled team members.
• Pre-shift Safety Walk to advise team on items to address and current conditions.
• Green Circle Meeting- Prep/Delivery- ANY UNSAFE CONDITIONS.
• Coordinate shipping dock operations
• Understand priority of customers as assigned by Materials Specialist or Materials Team Leader.
• Understanding of current customer condition to ensure proper flow of standard delivery, expedite mode, critical deliveries.
• Coordinates the order/load flow to staging; assess time before load out and window time.
• Coordinates dunnage handling and customer/route specific requirements.
• Shipment Close and Communication
• Confirmation of ASN/Short Ship/Customer Contact
• Process/Operations Failure Escalation Process
• Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications Required:

• Minimum 2 years recent supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to utilize a computer-based inventory control system
• Resolution of employee-related issues including mentoring and training.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Excellent customer relations and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Without assistance, must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push and/or pull objects weighing from 1 to 70 lbs.
