CITCO Water is Hiring an Electrical Instrumentation Technician Near Lexington, KY
Job Duties
- Install, start-up, calibrate, and troubleshoot and repair all control panels, measuring and monitoring instruments and telemetry systems
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair instruments and systems provided by other suppliers with appropriate manuals without assistance
- Understands basic hydraulic, electrical, and functional process required by system, as well as the theory of operation so to calibrate, diagnose problems, troubleshoot, and repair the electrical/instrumentation system
- Working knowledge of PLCs, Personal Computers and accessories, and wireless communications such as VHF/UHF radios, 900 mHz radios and cellular technology
- Working knowledge of software required for these control systems, including Siemens Intrulink, Allen-Bradley, Wonderware, and other softwares as specified
- Uses diagnostic tools required for systems
- Creates field service reports to provide comprehensive data on diagnosis and work performed
- Vocationally trained in electronics, electricity and/or have job experience resulting in similar capabilities.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Willingness to drive/travel to off-site customer locations
- Ability and willingness to use Smart devices, such as phone tablets, laptops, and web based software applications
- Required to work outdoors, climb, tanks, lift materials, and balance, stoop, lift, climb, and exert force up to 50 pounds regularly
- Electrician or journeyman's license
- Current or previous coursework involving instrumentation
- 2 year electrical engineering technology degree
- Ability to read wiring diagrams
- Prior experience in water/wastewater industry a plus
