POSITION TITLE: Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst

POSITION REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst (FP&A) is responsible for providing the leadership team with financial and management reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Support the leadership team in the FP&A process by providing accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders including the Board of Directors, Executives, and Lenders
2. Assist department directors by developing, analyzing, and delivering insights of Key Performance Indicators and headcount analyses
3. Support the delivery of financial targets by analyzing customer growth, customer profitability and operational expenses
4. Work with the financial team to build an accurate 13-week cash forecast with a corresponding financial forecast. Provide management with periodic updates to the annual forecast with explanations detailing forecast changes
5. Compile revenue forecasts and department expenses into an annual budget at the account level.
6. Support the monthly close process by consolidating entities and performing variance analyses
7. Oversee the analysis of strategic projects pre- and post-mortem
8. Support the Vice President of Finance and Accounting as required on ad hoc financial, strategy and associated matters
9. Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no direct reports.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Results-oriented and detail-oriented
• Understanding of basic financial and working capital management is a plus
• Must understand three (3) statement financial modeling: (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, decision making, and interpersonal skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Five plus years of financial planning analysis or related experience.

• Varying work schedules to meet deadlines is sometimes required
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear
• Ability to operate a computer keyboard
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to carry 5-10 lbs. (computer, etc.)
