POSITION: Mason Laborer

WAGES: Starting at $20/hour Mason Laborers are paid using a scale based on aptitude, skill, and years of experience.

LOCATION:

• Benchmark Masonry is headquartered in Lewistown, MT but most projects are outside of the Lewistown area and some are out of state. TRAVEL IS REQUIRED.
• All job related travel expenses are paid for by employer, as well as per diem pay
• During inclement weather that prohibits masonry work, field employees may transition to snow plowing and snow removal duties that take place only in the Lewistown area.

DAYS/HOURS:

• Days worked are Monday-Friday if schedule is 8 hour days.
• Days worked are Monday-Thursday if schedule is 10 hour days.

DUTIES:

• Must be able to support the skilled tradesmen by performing a variety of general labor tasks including:
• Setup, teardown, and cleanup of job sites
• Use power tools including drills, grinders, saws, and other varied tools
• Cut materials to specified sizes for installation using power saws or cutters
• Construction of scaffolding or other installation structures
• Stock materials
• Maintain and keep clean all equipment used
• Clean working surfaces and perform site maintenance and cleanup
• Other duties as assigned by the Foreman or Superintendent.
• Must follow all company standards based on the employee handbook, drug & alcohol policy, and safety polices and handbooks. Must report potentially unsafe conditions.
• Must be able to follow instructions precisely, and work independently as well as with others, in an organized manner.
• Due to Montana weather conditions and in order to prevent lay offs, Benchmark Masonry field employees may transition to snow plowing services in the winter months. Must be able to operate trucks and skid steers with snow plows. Training will be provided.

TOOLS REQUIRED:

• Tape Measure, Brick Hammer, and Margin Trowel.
