Market Tree Research is Hiring a Cost Accountant Near Lenoir, NC
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
- Take the leading role in implementing and then maintaining the cost accounting system within the Companies new ERP system (NetSuite’s)
- Work with Engineering on the development of accurate Bills of Materials (BOM’s) and Routers.
- Investigate cost and budget variances and produce reports to inform management including identification of opportunities for improvement and elimination of waste.
- Establish labor and overhead rates in line with operating budgets.
- Develop and record required journal entries related to inventory management.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working with cost accounting systems utilizing Bill of Materials (BOM’s) and Routers.
- Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Pasion for numbers and competence in analyzing data using statistics and various cost analysis techniques.
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
- Good communication skills & the ability to collaborate with staff members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57,800.87 - $69,609.65 per year
