Performs clerical duties such as word processing, filing, composing correspondence, scheduling medical appointments, faxing, and record-keeping; maintains health records in an orderly manner; maintains systems to track documentation; participates in quality improvement meetings; handles sensitive and confidential information, correspondence, print daily alert lists and distribute, compile and print practitioner lists, documents and reports; and provides administrative and clerical support to health services staff as assigned. Additionally, the medical records clerk will sign in and out on the control log for each scheduled shift.
A certification in Medical Assisting or Licensed Practical Nursing -or- a high school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of experience in a medical office setting. |
