Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking Pipefitters for shutdown work with a mechanical contractor located in Lebanon, OR. The person in this position will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems that are used for the transportation of water, steam, gas, and other liquids or gases in industrial buildings.

PAY: $28-$35/hr

Pipefitter Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shapes and sizes, using hand and power tools
• Assemble and install piping systems and equipment, including valves, pumps, and fittings
• Stick and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless pipe
• Inspect and test piping systems for leaks, pressure, and flow rates
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and modifications to existing piping systems
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians and HVAC technicians, to ensure the proper installation and integration of piping systems with other building systems
• Use specialized tools, such as welding equipment and hydraulic benders, to fabricate and install piping systems
• Maintain accurate records of materials used, time spent, and work performed
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment and proper handling of hazardous materials

Pipefitter Qualifications:

• 2 years of Pipefitting experience.
• 2 years of TIG and Stick welding.
• Knowledge of Shop math, operate forklift, versed in plant safety.
• Able to interpret schematics and read blueprints.
• Ability to work throughout Oregon, per diem paid when applicable.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen (this role does not test for THC).

Compensation:

• $28-$35/hour
• Per diem when applicable ($50-75/day depending on distance from shop)
