About Casa Latinos Unidos
Casa Latinos Unidos is a community-based organization working with the Latinx communities of Benton and Linn Counties. The organization provides wraparound support to families, implements educational and leadership development programs, and celebrates the cultures of the communities with which we work. Our staff is fully bilingual and bicultural. The organization's main office is located at Garfield Elementary School, Corvallis, with an extension office at Colonia Paz, in Lebanon. Position Summary
We are searching for a talented and professional Community Health Worker to do community and health outreach work in Benton County based at Corvallis. As a community health worker, you will represent the organization and work with the management team to develop and implement initiatives that increase Casa Latinos Unidos programming with the Latinx community. The ideal candidate has to be self-motivated, enthusiastic and community-driven to take on this exciting role. This position requires someone equipped with a positive attitude and readiness to be a team player.
To qualify for this position, candidates should have high proficiency in the English and Spanish languages, strong phone and in-person communication abilities, experience working with data entry using software of different kinds, high school education or equivalent, and experience in community outreach, social services, or a related field. The CHW should be motivated to deliver compassionate, thoughtful guidance to clients from diverse backgrounds.
