Position is full time with base wage of $17.00 per hour based on experience.*

The dining area is always a great place to gather for our residents and socialize with each other and the staff serving them in a clean and fun environment.

As a Kitchen Manager you will supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes, procedures and portion controls.

Job Responsibilities :

To prepare and serve delicious meals ensuring quality and nutritional needs of our residents. Enforcing compliance with all employment policies and overseeing cleanliness of restaurant and safety of guests at all times according to all state and local regulations.

Manage employees including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline. Providing daily feedback on performance during one-on-ones.

Directing work for kitchen employees, including setting hours and weekly schedules and assigning tasks. Orientation of staff on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures.

Reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring Creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment for the staff in a manner consistent with our core values and operational goals

Oversee the proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items. Understanding, managing, and practicing safe food handling procedures.

Manage food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs.

Job Qualifications :

Able to cook short order items for special diets. Have operational knowledge of kitchen equipment. Be able to handle stressful situations well and communicate effectively.

Must possess a current Food Handlers Permit and ability to get Safe Serve permit upon hiring if not already have one. Must be 18 yrs.

old. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., Must be able to stand for long periods and bend often. Must be able to pass background screen and drug testing.

Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must attend monthly in-service and continuing education programs.
