Westerner Park is Hiring an Assistant Controller Near Layton, UT
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Support the Controller in managing the general ledger and month-end close process
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during financial audits
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Review and ensure the correct posting of entries by other staff members
- Provide support for special projects as assigned
- Assist in the guidance and training of staff
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; with at least 2 years related quality experience in a financial environment
- CPA/CMA
- Advanced understanding of financial and accounting principles
- Excellent written communication, interpersonal, organizational and project management skills
- Prior manufacturing environments a plus
- English Proficiency required
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; converse and listen; taste or smell

The target starting pay is $80,000 to $90,000. This is an Exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime pay.
