Global Power Products is Hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer Near Lawrenceville, GA
Position OverviewAs a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components. You will lead projects, provide technical expertise, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, proven experience in project management, and a passion for innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems, including schematic design, PCB layout, and component selection.
- Conduct thorough analysis and testing to ensure the functionality, reliability, and safety of electrical systems and components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales / marketing, mechanical engineers, software / firmware engineers, product designers, and production teams to integrate electrical systems into overall product designs in the most efficient way possible.
- Regulatory write-up and submittal for electrical systems under development.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, assisting in their professional development.
- Provide technical guidance to consumer relations team when technical questions arise from the field.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power electronics, PCB layout, SMT production, etc.
- Proven track record of successfully leading electrical engineering projects from concept to production.
- Familiarity creating high and low voltage analog and digital circuit analysis.
- Experience with different wireless communication modules; ethernet, modbus, cellular, wifi, Bluetooth.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as I2C and SPI.
- Strong proficiency in PCB CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and developing products to meet those requirements.
- Experience working in power management is a plus.
