We have an excellent opportunity for a Punch Press Operator to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for the set-up and maintenance of computer numeric controlled production equipment and operating and maintaining a variety of machines to punch, form and shape metal components used in the manufacturing of various products. 

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate machines working from detailed blueprints, to perform a variety of machining operations.
• Devise new tools and fixtures for unusual operations.
• Check dimensions on finished parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, gauges, calipers
• Cleaning up and deburring parts when necessary
• Collaborating amongst the team and providing support to other Machine Operators when needed
• Following established methods and sequence of operations
• Reviewing detailed drawings and BOMs to determine process steps when not well defined
• Understanding and executing Elma/Optima workmanship standards, Manufacturing Procedures and Housekeeping Guidelines
• Perform all other work-related duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of related experience in manufacturing or metal
• Works on assignments that are typically routine in nature
• Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instruction on new assignments
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints to drill, punch, tap, countersink, and assemble subassemblies
• Must have a basic understanding of quality and safety standards as it relates to Machine Operation and production

Preferred Education/Certifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent
