Position SummaryThis position collaborates with other nursing staff to provide individualized care for clients in an inpatient setting.

- Incorporates the six principles of trauma informed care throughout all aspects of their work.
- Monitors and care for clients in an inpatient setting under the guidance of a registered nurse
- Attends and participates in team meetings
- Reports and documents changes in clients progress in electronic health record
- Willingness to attend trainings related to therapeutic communication skills, physical intervention, and verbal de-escalation and implement these skills in patient care
- Initiates group activities with patients according to daily schedule
- Provides patients with a safe environment of care and aid with ADLs as needed
- Collects information related to patients through observation and interviews
- Conducts unit rounds, safety checks and vitals
- Engages with patients to encourage a welcoming and safe environment
- Responds to crisis, utilization of de-escalation and restraints as directed
- High School Equivalency; experience with mental health preferred.
- Trauma-informed and recovery oriented
- Supports there being many pathways to recovery
- Willingness to partner with residents regardless of stage of change, seeking to demonstrate compassion and working to guide and evoke change.
- Knowledge of social determinants of health and recovery capital.
- Skills in advocacy, organization, and communication.
- Ability to effectively encourage interpersonal effectiveness and conflict management
