Summary

This position is part of the Haskell Indian Nations University, Bureau of Indian Education. As a Tractor Operator you will be responsible for tractor operation and grounds maintenance.

Duties

As a Tractor Operator WG-5705-6, your typical work assignments may include the following :

  • Operate a field-type tractor and attached or towed equipment.
  • Perform minor maintenance and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Perform seasonal gardening tasks and projects planned for the campus.
  • Perform seasonal tasks such as fertilizing, preparing seed beds, transplanting, laying sod, aerating, pruning, trimming, and applying chemicals to plants according to directions.

Qualifications

Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualifications. For this position, the job element method is used to match what the applicant can do against what the work calls for.
