About the Role

As Operations Manager, you’ll be directing and managing all Shark Solutions USA PBV Recycling plant operations, including production, maintenance, safety, quality, administration, and other related activities. You are expected to assist in any aspect of the daily operations and maintenance when needed. To succeed in this role, you must have a solid background, a track record in multiple shift production, manufacturing, and/or extrusion operations, and a passion for building and leading high-performing teams. We need a strong execution person with experience in improvement/expansion projects. You will lead from the front, empowering, motivating, and developing your team. This position reports directly to the Operations Director at the company’s European HQ.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute day-to-day operations of all Shark PVB Recycling plants.
• Maintain a safe work environment through best-in-class safety policies and training.
• Ensure a high product quality at the highest level of production efficiency.
• Maintain a well-trained and responsible workforce.
• Ensure all equipment and building features are maintained and functional at high standards.
• Oversee contractors while at the company location performing contract work.
• Maintain good relations with customers and suppliers.
• Ensure the Plant is operating under regulatory guidelines and requirements (including permits, safety, quality, and others).
• Responsible for plant operations, human resources, P&L and budget, and planning for the USA Shark PVB plant.
• Supervise USA Shark PVB Recycling Plant Supervisor and Maintenance Supervisors.
• Maintain good communication with Company headquarters, and other Operations Managers within the group, including the sharing of best practices to maximize success.
• Maintain good communication with legal and management departments.
• Support Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) initiatives of the business.
• Be a team player and contribute to the continued success and growth of business.

Qualifications

Your Work Experience & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial manufacturing, or similar
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM system
• Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
• 10 years of experience in similar roles with a proven track record in operational excellence
• Experience in managing and motivating high-performing operational teams—communicating vision and setting clear goals
• Experience working in a multicultural, international company is a plus
• Physical Demands: The position requires occasional climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Frequent lifts and/or moving up to ten (10) pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to twenty-five (25) pounds are to be expected. This job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
