Topkey Construction is Hiring a Commercial Construction Superintendent Near Laurel, MD
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist with maintaining the project schedule and managing costs
- Proactively identify and solve problems with minimal oversight
- Maintain compliance with construction codes, and safety and government regulations
- Helps to oversee internal and external team members, including subcontractors
- Maintain organized project records including subcontracts, change orders, permits and drawings
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and inspection authorities
- Clearly communicate company policies to crews, subcontractors, suppliers, architects and engineers
- Ensure all onsite operations are conducted safely, on-time, on-budget and to our quality standards
- Coordinate and direct subcontractors to complete the project within the given budget and time frame
- Assist with overall quality control on the project for both the company and the subcontractors
- Analyze and resolve construction problems, develop and implement corrective actions as required, and monitor corrective actions to ensure they are effective in coordination with the Project Management
- Prior experience as a construction foreman or equivalent
- Ability to work well with others, mainly subcontractors, and suppliers, in order to direct the completion of required work in both an accurate and timely manner
- Ability to multitask
- Proficiency with technology
- Experience and knowledgeable in commercial roofing and commercial doors
- Work is performed both in the office and at construction sites.
- Climbing up and down ladders and stairs.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
