Clinical Laboratory Technician

GRI Labs is currently seeking a laboratory technician with skills as an LCMS Analyst to join our growing laboratory in Las Vegas, NV. This position will be responsible for performing extractions of biological samples and quantitative analysis of drugs. A background in chemistry and LCMS/MS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Licensed as a Medical Laboratory Technician with the state of Nevada.
  • An Associates or Bachelor’s Degree (Bachelor’s preferred) in Medical Technology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or Physics
  • Ability to read and comprehend English and comprehend and follow oral and/or written instructions.
  • Good communication skills in both written and oral form.
  • Reasoning skills to apply principles to draw valid conclusions, interpret technical instructions, etc.
  • Ability to recognize potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, bodily secretions, and/or hazardous chemicals in the workplace.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the technical skills for routine testing in area of assignment within three months of hiring.

Job Description
GRI Labs provides medical diagnostic testing. We serve healthcare providers, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, and companies throughout the Southwestern U.S. We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician.

  • Accessioning of patient samples into LIS system.
  • Performing automated or semi-automated procedures under the supervision of laboratory technologist or supervisor.
  • Process send-outs to the reference lab and verify the results are filed in the patients records (electronically or manual).
  • Perform quality control testing, maintenance, and calibration of instruments under supervision of laboratory technologist or supervisor.
  • Help resolve technical problems.
  • Maintain inventory in a neat and acceptable manner.
  • Participate in continuing education and in-service programs.
