Job SummaryThe Senior Accountant will be responsible for analyzing operational and manufacturing costs, preparing detailed cost analysis reports, and collaborating with various departments to improve cost efficiency and financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Participate in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and annual budgets.
- Analyze financial information, operating results, and manufacturing costs.
- Prepare variance reports, KPI reports, and inventory analysis.
- Develop and maintain standard costs, monitor cost variances, and collaborate with purchasing and operations to improve cost accuracy.
- Support special projects and reporting requirements with the Controller and other managers.
- Recommend and implement cost reduction and revenue enhancement strategies.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles.
- Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including V-Lookup’s and pivot tables.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
