Required Skills
- BS in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 plus years' experience in machine tools or related industry.
- Experience with engines or powertrains is a plus.
- AutoCAD and 3-D SolidWorks.
- Strong analytical skills: Able to compile data into useable form, recognize patterns in data, information, or events, draw logical conclusions, and make recommendations for action.
- Strong communication skills both written and oral.
- Willing to work hands-on in the plant and at the customer's facility, including potential occasional domestic and international travel.
- Lead the mechanical design of machines/machine tooling to meet company and customer design specifications, removing complexity and enhancing reliability and safety.
- Use, maintain, and/or improve standard components to meet all applicable specifications in machine/machine tooling designs.
- New designs and improved standards to conserve space, manufactured at the lowest cost, with minimum amount of Engineering time.
