Our client is seeking a Software Tester for a contract with the IRS. This is a great opportunity to get in on a long standing contract with the IRS.

This person will work a hybrid schedule in Lanham, MD. 
Salary: $85K
Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain IRS Moderate Risk Background Investigation (MBI) Public Trust.

• Conduct functional and/or integration testing of multiple programs in an IBM mainframe or client/server environment.
• Support the Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS) tax processing pipeline and master file systems.
• Use IRS or Contractor-developed documentation to construct test cases with predetermined results and test data to verify program functionality and/or interfaces through assigned systems.
• Review output to determine whether or not the test results fulfill the established requirements, and if necessary, notify the responsible programmers, both verbally and in writing, of errors, omissions, and inconsistencies in the programs and/or documentation.
• Coordinate test activities with project stakeholders.
• Coordinate work assignments to ensure timely and accurate completion of testing.
• Provide inputs on the required testing level of effort for Unified Work Requests.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant IT and software testing experience; OR a Master’s degree or PhD may be considered in with 2 years of relevant work experience
• Must be able to obtain and maintain IRS Moderate Risk Background Investigation (MBI) Public Trust.
• Must be a US Citizen.
