GAMA-1 Technologies is Hiring an IT Security Specialist Near Lanham, MD
This is a Hybrid position with One Day Per Week Remote.
Activities include but are not limited to the following:
- Support system implementation, integration, and maintenance and operations, including the investigation of complex technical problems
- Familiarity with IT operations tools (e.g., Ansible, IBM Big Fix, McAfee ePO, etc.).
- Working knowledge of operating security tools (e.g., Tenable Security Center, ArcSight, Advanced Intrusion Detection Environment (AIDE), etc.)
- Knowledge of and comprehensive understanding of NIST guidance to include, but not limited to, NIST Special Publications and Federal Information Processing Standards.
- Knowledge of assessing information/information security risk following DOC, NOAA, and NASA Policies, FIPS and NIST Special Publications guidelines.
- Working knowledge of systems administration, network management, security systems operations (e.g., firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS), configuration management standards and baselines, and change control management.
- Demonstrated experience developing security policies and procedures.
- BS or higher in a Computer Science, Technology, or related field
- 3-5 Years Hands on work experience in the same or equivalent field
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ansible
- Familiar with NIST Risk Management Framework and related NIST publications
- Excellent written, verbal, and analytical problem-solving skills in working with technical and non-technical people and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships among all levels of an organization
- Requires good interpersonal, problem solving, and issue resolution skills.
- Maturity and communications skills to interface with other security professionals
- Linux and/or security certification is preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
