Responsibilities
- Deliver food and excellent service to residents.
- Maintain uniform to meet department standards and comply with dress code.
- Follow sequence of service.
- Pre-bus all sections assigned and assist fellow team members.
- Maintain a clean dining room, clean tables and chairs.
- Maintain a “clean as you go” policy.
- Report immediately to the Director of Culinary Services or Manager on duty, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a resident, colleague, self.
- Understand and ensure the implementation of the Community’s Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures.
- Report to the Director of Culinary Services and/or Maintenance Director, any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment or any potential hazard
- Promote and ensure the good reputation of the Community.
- Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained.
- Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably assigned to you.
- Current Food Handlers Card for the State of Arizona
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency in reading and writing English is required
- Proficiency in basic math skills required
- Able to lift a minimum of 25 to 75 pounds
- Care for the Elderly experience a plus
- Good communication skills
- Team player
- Highly organized
- Knowledge / experience of health and safety regulations
- Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents, families and to work cooperatively with other staff members
- Must maintain regular attendance
- Ability to work flexible hours, days, nights, weekends and holidays
