Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide assistance and support to individuals in need of personal care services. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping individuals maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
- Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up
- Accompany clients to appointments and outings
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition or behavior
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and principles
- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
