Location Description: Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is nestled high atop the majestic San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 5,174’. This Resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. The resort includes a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach as well as over 23,000 sq. ft of meeting and events space. Overview:
Anticipated Season from May 1, 2024, to October 31, 2024, weather permitting.
BASIC FUNCTION: To welcome and attend to hotel guests, enforce safety rules, maintain pool and beach equipment and facilities. Keep a clean and organized outdoor pool and restroom area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Interact and welcome guests as they enter and exit the pool, beach, and surrounding areas.
- Ensure only permitted hotel guests enter and exit the pool and beach area.
- Provide guests with towels and attend to their requests.
- Maintain cleanliness, appearance and high standards of the pool area, this includes the private beach, walkways, outdoor restroom and hotel surrounding area.
- Perform hourly inspections of the pool area, private beach, outdoor restroom and hotel surrounding areas. This includes, but is not limited to the restrooms, patio areas, stairways, walkways, emptying trash containers, etc.
- Ensure areas are well-kept, clean, and free of debris – this includes removing trash, sweeping or leaf blowing designated areas, and clearing of towels, etc.
- Ensure all furniture is arranged and cleaned according to the pool layout.
- Enforce safety protocols set out by leadership team.
- Monitoring the activity of guests and ensuring their safety and property safety is a priority.
- Reporting any damages or incidences to the supervisor and or Loss Prevention.
- Ensure cleanliness of indoor and outdoor pool entrance area and movie theatre room, including floors and carpets, doors and windows, guests’ chairs and equipment, Pool Attendant station, trash cans, etc.
- Be familiar with all property facilities and outlets. Be familiar with all summer recreation activities, locations and times, movie lineup, summer retail products (fishing poles etc.).
- May assist guests at the Spa of the Pines reception area.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
- Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by a supervisor, manager, or Director.
- Upon request, help in other areas as needed of the resort and spa.
ENVIRONMENT:
Indoors: dimly lit, carpeted, climate-controlled environment. Outdoors: sand, cement and uneven surfaces, with exposure to outdoor climate and elements.

Qualifications:

- One year of customer service experience, preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Must be comfortable in or near water and be knowledgeable in most sporting activities (swimming, boating, kayaking, etc.).

- Must be able to work independently or with others.
- Excellent communication skills.
