JOB DUTIES / KNOWLEDGE

• Personal care duties including bathing, grooming, feeding, turning and

• When instructed by the Home Care Nurse, record weight, measure food and fluid intake and output, collect urine, stool and sputum specimens, and perform simple urine test.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Have completed a training program approved by the New York State Department of Health as a Certified Home Health Aide or be enrolled as a trainee aide in New York State approved training program under the supervision of qualified RN.
• Be a minimum of 18 years of age, able to read and write English and to carry out
• Have had a physical examination satisfying the New York State Department of Health requirements for Home Health Care Workers.
