Job Title: Brick Mason

Location: Lagrange, OH 44050

Company: Local masonry contractor is hiring experienced Brick Masons (and tenders) for a project in Lagrange. If you have a minimum of 4 years of commercial experience in bricklaying, we offer competitive pay, weekly direct deposit, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive work environment. Brick Mason Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working on construction sites as a bricklayer, preferably in commercial settings.
  • Familiarity with materials, methods, and tools involved in bricklaying and building construction.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems related to bricklaying tasks.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects commonly encountered in bricklaying work.

Brick Mason Duties:

  • Read blueprints or drawings to calculate required materials for each project.
  • Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto slabs or foundations.
  • Lay bricks, blocks, or stones according to provided plans, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Construct corners for structural stability using corner poles or corner pyramids.
  • Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of structures using tools such as plumb bobs and levels.
  • Clean and polish surfaces to achieve a smooth finish using hand or power tools.
  • Remove excess mortar to maintain clean and tidy work areas.
  • Fill expansion joints with appropriate caulking materials for durability.
  • Lay out patterns or foundations using straightedges to guide placement of bricks, blocks, or stones.
  • Break or cut bricks, stones, or blocks to appropriate sizes for customized installations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment at all times.

Brick Mason Compensation/Benefits:

  • Hourly wage: $28-$32/hr BOE
  • Weekly direct deposit
  • Paid time off and benefits

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
