Job Duties:
- Assists clients with preparation of necessary documents (i.e., food stamps, Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (KTAP), Social Security, housing, SSI benefits, Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), medical history, birth certificates, and yearly school records).
- Provides instructions to clients in areas of budgeting, nutrition, hygiene, parenting, housekeeping, child development and community resource awareness
- Transports and accompanies clients to various appointments
- Accompanies clients for potential placement visits
- Supervises visitation between foster children and birth parents and documents progress of family interactions
- Enters data into computer system
- Stays current in proper use of child safety seats
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in providing support services and/or transport services to individuals or families or working with the public
- Experience working with families and/or children
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management and organizational skills
- The ability to work well under pressure
- A willingness to work as part of a team
