Facilities Manager Perks

Facilities Manager Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of the Charmant poperty including interior, exterior, and any other off-site related property (i.e. storage) in accordance with Standard Operation Procedures and required federal, state, and local regulations/codes, including city building and fire codes
  • Vendor management and oversight of third-party contractors, subcontractors, etc. for facilities-related contracts including waste management, cleaning, snow removal, security, repairs, etc.
  • General supervision and support for the engineering team including hiring, training, scheduling, labor tracking, performance management, etc.
  • Troubleshooting maintenance problems involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair or replacement
  • Managing and carrying out the implementation of various policies, standards, procedures and programs relating to the overall maintenance and upkeep of the properties
  • Availability for and management of 24-hour emergency maintenance service, and as scheduled

Facilities Manager Requirements

  • 2 or 4 year college degree preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years facilities management experience
  • Working knowledge of principles and practices of project management, business administration, financial principles and practices, electrical and mechanical systems, and procurement and contracts
  • Experience in construction, maintenance and all facets of hotel facility operation
  • Highly organized and able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Supervisory experience

Facilities Manager Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception.
