Optical Fashions Eye Care Clinic is Hiring an Optical Manager Near La Crosse, WI
Optical Fashions is seeking an experienced Optical Manager to oversee our optical department and ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service. Experience in the field and customer service of at least two years is required.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations, staff utilization and staff meetings
- Assigning duties with appropriate prioritization
- Work with management team to establish procedures and policies for optical staff
- Assist in establishing and enforcing the uniform policy
- Assist in interviews of prospective employees
- Train new optical technicians and opticians
- Assist in review of employees
- Liaison between staff and doctors
- Establish pricing of optical materials for sale
- Evaluate insurance programs to see if profitable
- Meet with lab reps to get updates on new products and promotions
- Oversee technician's lab area
- Oversee ordering of optical supplies including case orders
- Backup for optician, ordering, check in, rush jobs and general lab duties
- Troubleshooting patient problems and resolving them
The right candidate must have the following:
- Previous experience in optical management or a related field of at least 2 years
- Knowledge of medical billing, medical coding, and medical records systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience electronic health record systems is a plus
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Optical Fashions Eye Care Clinic provides routine and medical eye exams. We also offer urgent care for eye infections and injuries. We have a selection of 2,000 frames and can help our patients with their contact lens needs. We take many insurance plans and have been providing expert care for more than 50 years.
