Every one of us works towards our shared purpose: Making Better Happen. We are currently seeking Forklift Drivers for our vegetable oil refinery in Louisville, KY. The Forklift Operators are responsible for picking up the completed pallets of product from the production line area and placing them in the correct areas of the warehouse based on the order. The position is also responsible for hand wrapping pallets from the Shortening Line and from the Super Sacks line before placing in the warehouse. This requires the Forklift Driver to also replace supplies as needed. Finally, the Forklift Operator is responsible for charging the forklift before every break and end of shifts.

We are looking for:

Experienced Forklift Operators

3 years' experience, Stable work history, positive attitude, and reliable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Safety & Environmental Performance

• Use of horn, strobe lights, and general safety precautions to prevent injuries
• Retrain on all forklift equipment periodically or as needed
• Following all GMP policies and procedures including safety glasses, seatbelts, etc.
• Identify high-risk safety/productivity issues and help to remedy them.
• Support full plant wide compliance with safety rules to further our goal of 0 accidents and encouragement of reporting and correcting near misses.
• Encourage employees to look for ways to improve safety and production processes.
• Prevent injuries by encouraging employees to work safely

Work Requirements

• Drive forklift throughout the floor to pick up packaged pallets of product and bring them into the warehouse
• Drive the super sacks from the line to the warehouse and wrap them for storage and transportation
• Wrap the cases on a pallet from the shortening line and then drive them to the appropriate section of storage
• Pull orders to fit customer needs
• Load trucks
• Move product to create space for inventory
• Operate hand held scanner to pull customer orders
• Operate scanners
• Help in Receiving as needed

Cost Control

• Always looking for new ways to save the company money
• Reduce the amount of rework by participating in employee involvement, process improvement and adherence to process guidelines
• Contribute to the effort in controlling costs and minimizing waste in your daily work

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• Basic computer skills
• 3 years’ experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment
• Ability to operate a handheld scanners
• Must be legally eligible to work in the US without sponsorship, now and in the future.
