Overview:

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various design software and possess a strong background in mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Uses Computer Aided Drafting equipment to provide support to Engineering department by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches & diagrams.
• Support Engineering by completing other engineering documentation processes.
• Prepare layout drawings for the assembling and manufacturing of the company’s products.
• Use computer assisted design/drafting software to develop and maintain designs.
• Create and revise production drawings (detail and assembly drawings).
• Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
• Sketches rough layout of machine and computes angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, leverages, and location of holes.
• Assist with the Engineering Change Notice (ECN’S).

Qualifications:

• 2 year degree, preferably CAD or Mechanical Design.
• Must have experience designing, from scratch, at least 2 of these 3: machined parts, castings, and metal parts.
• Must have knowledge of GD&T, hands-on building prototypes, die-cast experience, BOM, ECN, and assemblies consisting of less than 30parts.
• Must have experience with Solidworks. Inventor or Creo could be an alternate if their experience with Solidworks is not recent.
