Lawton Public Schools is Hiring a LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR Near Lawton, OK
- Master's Degree
- State Licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage/Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Behavior Practitioner (LBP)
- At least 2 years of directly related experience preferred
- Participate in comprehensive staffing. Coordinate the information flow from the department to other appropriate service providers.
- Be familiar with Medicaid billing practices and complete appropriate Medicaid billing for qualified students (progress notes, etc.).
- Make recommendations for intervention and act as an IEP team member.
- Attend categorical eligibility which involves presentation of evaluation results.
- Consult and instruct school personnel and parents in the therapeutic management of students.
- Maintain confidential records. Provide documentation of progress and prepare evaluations. Provide formal/informal in-service to administrators, parents, and teachers.
- Travel to the various sites to provide services.
- Attend necessary workshops and continuing education to maintain certification.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Special Services.
