CLASSIFICATION: Full Time
REPORTS TO: Director of Traditional Enrollment
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Enrollment Counselor represents Southeastern University, overseeing the recruitment, processing, and evaluation of applicants. Responsibilities include community outreach, new student recruitment, explaining academic and co-curricular programs, financial aid processes, and participation in promotional events. The role entails making admission decisions and extensive travel, alongside office work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage recruitment from inquiry to enrollment, meeting enrollment goals.
- Develop and execute successful recruiting strategies within assigned territory.
- Plan and implement recruitment travel, fostering pipelines and networks.
- Coordinate recruitment events and maintain an active presence both on and off campus.
- Manage public relations, cultivating positive relationships, and communicating with stakeholders.
- Maintain communication with prospective students via various channels.
- Maintain records and completed reports related to recruitment metrics.
- Conduct affordability conversations with families regarding financial aid.
- Process prospective student applications and evaluate educational fit.
- Serve as a liaison with academic departments and special programs.
- Manage student workers and interns, overseeing day-to-day activities.
- Provide feedback on enrollment processes for improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Broad knowledge of SEU's academic and extracurricular programs.
- Understanding of financial aid policies.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Physical ability to lift recruiting materials.
- Bachelor's degree
- Superior interpersonal and public speaking skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Valid Driver's License
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Experience in higher education admissions or related field
- Familiarity with CRM recruitment or Salesforce software
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
