The Contractor Consultants is Hiring a Masonry Foreman (Experienced) Near Lafayette, IN
Job Overview:
- Manage on-site masonry projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Lead and supervise a crew of 4 to 30 individuals, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and promoting teamwork.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations, ensuring a safe work environment for all workers.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure the availability of necessary materials and resources.
- Conduct regular inspections of work progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays that may arise.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and material usage records.
- Utilize software tools to facilitate project communication, documentation, and coordination.
- Operate and oversee the use of equipment such as forklifts, lulls, scissor lifts, rough terrain machinery, and aerial lifts.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks, emphasizing safe work practices and providing training when necessary.
- Use critical thinking to come up with cost savings ideas, efficiency ideas, and resolve logistics concerns.
- Ability to collaborate with team members, spot gaps in drawings or specs, and determine efficient use of equipment for jobs.
- Must be able to work within a 70-mile radius between Lafayette and Indianapolis locations, with an even split of time.
- Proven experience as a Masonry Foreman with a minimum of 5 years of job experience, preferably with a project scope ranging from $500k to $5m.
- Masonry experience and proficiency in performing layout and maintaining project productivity and quality.
- Strong understanding of software tools such as ProCore, Outlook, Plangrid, and Bim360 a plus.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and certifications in OSHA 30, scaffolding, forklift operation, lull operation, scissor lift operation, rough terrain machinery operation, and aerial lift operation.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Open-minded and collaborative team player.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Bilingual abilities are a strong plus.
