PRE-OP/POST-OP RN

New ENT Surgery Center in West Knoxville seeks a Registered Nurse with experience in both pre-operative and post-operative areas. No call and no weekends.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Able to evaluate surgical patients, plan, implement and document care.

· Ability to assist physicians with procedures in pre-operative phase.

· Proficient IV skills

· Able to teach patients and families effectively so they can be discharged home safely.

· Participates in opportunities of continuing education.

· Demonstrates the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, coworkers, and physicians.

· Reports to Director of Nursing

Full-time

Working hours: Monday - Friday 6 AM – 5 PM (40 hours per week, daily hours will be dependent upon assigned area)

No call, No weekends, No holidays, No nights

Education/Licensure/Experience

· Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

· Basic computer knowledge and skills

· Current license to practice as a RN in TN or compact state

· Current BLS, ACLS and PALS

· Two years’ recent experience in either pre-op or post-op (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
